Summary: Antonio DeVille dedicated his life to murder James Marvell. James Marvell, on the outside, was no one but a millionaire that owned all the largest papers in New York. He was, however, the head of a criminal organization, and supposedly murdered foreign families. It can be assumed that DeVille's had been one of these victims. DeVille worked his way up to Marvell's right hand as the head of drug trafficking, presumably with only his real motivation in mind. He succeeded, but was caught later down the line. Seeing no way out, a disease threatening to kill him and his goals completed, he committed suicide.
